As confirmed by latest news, 2008 witnesses the Apulian Tourism Boom: while Italy suffers a decrease in the incoming touristic flux, the region of Puglia reach the second place among italian regions and will quite surely reach for the very first time the first place on September.
It also seems that is the whole system Puglia which doesn't want to follow the actual wordly (and Italian) economic crise, so everything works in Puglia? Absolutely not, of course, however it's more and more visible the increased care its people devote to their own land.
Also the globalization has made possible to get people knowing about Puglia natural beauties, cuisine, lifestyle and they are going to like it more and more.

Itria Valley Festival
From 17 july until 6 August it'll take place in martina Franca the 34th edition of the Itria Valley Festival, the Festival della Valle d'Itria, a great event where lots of international artists performs their own talents: Operas , Concerts are indeed what the best one can find. It's the time when the already active town of Martina Franca, the biggest town in Itria Valley, the land of Trulli becomes nearly overcrowded. If you think about the fact that we are right in the middle of the summer, and so close to the sea too (the Adtriatic sea at 20 km and the Jonian one at 35), you'll understand that together with the usual attractives Martina Franca and Itria Valley offer there are so many factors causing this increase in incoming.
